Topography

Knowing the different parts and feather groups of a gull is indispensable for anyone wishing to communicate what it is they're seeing. Fortunately, gulls are large enough so that most feather groups are easily delineated. I've tried my best to only include individuals that are not in heavy molt; most diagrams are of adult and 1st cycle birds. All photos are the property of Amar Ayyash.
